We went for a sand/ biscuit colour for the ground sheet which contrasts well with the colour of the canvas. It’s not as dark as a chestnut brown as it is much lighter in tone. This creates a lovely warm atmosphere inside the tent. The ground sheet is a very heavy duty 540 gsm which is 100% waterproof.
The poles and pegs come in a matching bag made from the same heavy duty PVC as the ground sheet, this is considerably stronger than nylon bags.
The canvas colour is sandstone.
This is a natural canvas colour (unbleached which is kinder on the canvas) and very traditional as an unbleached canvas was what was used in the 40s/50s. This colour also creates a very soft and warm light inside the bell tent which is a lot less bright than a cream / white canvas (very useful on a hot summers day at 5am when the some comes up)
For the above reasons sandstone is one of the most (if not the most) popular colour amongst sellers and also campers.
